A quick sketch of a woman's head.

At the risk of sounding unduly pleased with myself, I have to say that I think I’m getting back in the groove. Drawing no longer feels like I’m walking through mud. Who know… maybe I’ll even get creative one day.

Now I’m on something of a how-to-handle-skin-tones-in-digital-media kick. This a picture of my sister that I drew copying a photo. If I looked a bit sallow in my self-portrait, I’ve gone to the other extreme here and my sister looks a little bit too “peachy.” In reality, she does have a somewhat rosier skin color than I do, but I’m not green and she doesn’t glow in the dark. Also, she doesn’t really look like the picture. The self-portrait, on the other hand, is fairly accurate, including the fact that I need a haircut.

This was also done using Artweaver. I did it on a different computer, however, and I was able to use larger brushes.
