Just a few minutes ago, I was just talking to a neighbor in my building and she was asking how I liked living here. I said the building was only so-so but the neighborhood is great. The hat is inside my building – and there’s an apology posted on the door about the noise on New Year’s Eve. I guess I’m not such an old curmudgeon after all. I heard noise but just shrugged because it’s only once a year.
The neighbourhood does look great. Noise once in a long while is tolerable. I would hate noisy neighbours
We’re probably in the middle. It’s Manhattan, so it’s very dense. On the other hand, it’s often described as a “family neighborhood.” There’s a little bit of nightlife in the form of a few bars, but it caters to locals.
The worst is end of the school year for university students when the kiddies come home and seem to want to spend the first week hitting the bars. After that, it goes back to normal.
I will in due course share with you photos of where I live.
