Sheep
Ooh boy, have I ever been slacking off. I downloaded a trial version of Maya 3d and I’ve been a bit obsessed with it, staying up all night and that kind of thing. Well, Friday is my day to indulge in cute animals of all kinds. I got a kick out of the way one sheep looked up just as I snapped the picture.
I’ve been mucking around with filters and other things. I’m not really sure what I think of them.
It’s soft like wool ..baaaaaaaaa :0
I used a blur filter, among other things. I also reduced the contrast, put on a pink filter and dodged the center to give it a soft hazy feel. I’m not sure about the dodged center.
I really like it!
Although I wasn’t trying to imitate a tilt-shift, I followed the directions in this how-to: Quick Tip: How To Fake a Tilt-Shift Photo.
I couldn’t open the link, is that in Photoshop? I don’t have that 😦
Interesting, I’ve been wondering why I’ve been having a hard time putting links in comments. Apparently, they sometimes substitute “no follow” instead of posting the URL. Interesting. It works sometimes and not others. Let’s try this: http://psd.tutsplus.com/tutorials/photo-effects-tutorials/tilt-shift-effect/. In anycase, it’s on a site called psd tuts+, which is psdtutsplus in the url. You can probably do something similar in Gimp. They also have tilt-shift filters for the iPhone, but I don’t have an iPhone so I wouldn’t know anything about how they work. I haven’t looked yet, but there might be similar tools in Paint.NET.
Do you use a photo editor? If so, which one?
