A Friendly Mule
Last weekend, my sister and I took a trip to western Maryland. We stayed in a vacation house that was located on the property of a farm. Near the house, there were a couple of mules. One spent most of his time standing underneath a flowering tree. He looked sweet with pale pink petals over the back. The other one, whenever he saw us would come to check us out. I had the distinct feeling that he was a little bit bored and people coming and going were the big events of his day.
I think he is beautiful. And the Maryland countryside is too.
What I wrote is slightly inaccurate. We stayed in a place on the other side of the West Virginia/Maryland border, so the photos are actually in West Virginia. However, it doesn’t look especially different about five miles to the right. I’ve always thought the Appalachian region was underestimated in terms of beauty.
I lived in Alexandria, Va for eight years. Loved driving west and seeing the beauty. I remember SkyLine Drive…….or something like that. Have not been back for over 40 years.
I have dealt with Mules in the past , they were not so docile. In fact tried to throw me off ! : ) Your photos however are quite nice.
